Book Review: Seven Weeks to Forever by Jennifer Farwell
Blurb:
By the time Cassidy finds Riley, she has only seven weeks to help him before her time is up. Riley will die too young if she fails, and she'll never see The Life-After or have another chance at life again. But no one told her helping Riley would mean dating him; she hasn't dated anyone since the love of her first life caused her death the last time she turned eighteen. And no one warned her she'd cross paths with Selena Jensen, her ex-best-friend who hasn't forgotten why their friendship ended and is protective of Riley. Then there's Cassidy's family, who thinks she's a normal girl headed to Harvard in the fall. When her aunt discovers that's not the plan, she shows up to try and drag Cassidy from L.A. to Boston.
Helping Riley is already hard with her aunt and Selena in the way. It's almost impossible when Cassidy realizes she's falling for him and is faced with a choice: give Riley the life he's meant for and leave when it's time, or give up eternity for the true love she's never had, knowing Riley will die the same way she did in her first life and that her entire existence could end at any time.
Review:
Farwell has produced a beautiful novel with Seven Weeks to Forever. The storyline is really different from your typical Romance novel, where two characters fall in love, but for them to achieve a happy ending, they will, in turn, no longer be together. Farwell’s characters are really likeable and very well developed throughout the novel. It is easy for the reader to connect to them and become gripped to their story.
I love all the twists and turns that Farwell offers up throughout the story to keep the reader on their toes. Cassidy is often faced with some difficult decisions which will have a major impact on both her future (in the Life-After) and Riley’s. There is a rollercoaster of emotions through the story which Farwell portrays beautifully – from first love to fear. I couldn’t wait to reach the end to find out Cassidy’s decision to the ultimate choice – give Riley the full life he was destined for, or fight for even a small amount of the true love she never had and risk losing Riley too soon.
Seven Weeks to Forever is my first Jennifer Farwell novel, and I would definitely look forward to reading more from her. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good Romance story with a bit of a twist. It draws the reader deep into Cassidy’s world and makes you look honestly at yourself and wonder, what would I do if I was Cassidy?

A nice book and a lucid review... again. I like the way you ended the review as it really took the book a notch up and i am forced to consider it more substantial then a simple romance. If it makes the reader ask that question, it certainly has fine characterization with some decisions to be made .. Thanks for it :) I liked what I saw , hence :) joining :)
